[origin: WO2007049064A1] A method of laser marking a surface having a relatively non- diffusely reflective surface region is provided. The method comprises irradiating with laser light a selected marking region of the relatively non-diffusely relative surface region in order to create a relatively diffusely reflective region. The radiation process comprises irradiating partially overlapping region to create the marking region.
