[origin: WO2007071563A1] The invention relates to a non-driven wheelset (RAS) for a rail vehicle (SCH), said wheelset (RAS) comprising at least one wheelset axle (RAW) and two wheelset bearings with axle-box cases (RAL) for receiving the wheelset axle (RAW), the two axle-box cases (RAL) being connected to each other via at least one intermediate element (ZWG) extending outside the at least one wheelset axle (RAW), thereby enabling torques about the rotational axis (a) of the wheelset (RAD) being transmittable without substantial twists of the axle-box cases in relation to each other.
