[origin: WO2007068764A1] The invention relates to a method for treating a fixed biological sample, comprising the following steps: i) a fixed biological sample is provided; ii) the fixed biological sample is contacted with an aqueous solution containing at least one nucleophilic reagent; and iii) the biological sample contacted with the aqueous solution is heated.
