[origin: WO2007071087A1] The invention relates to a carding bar for a carding machine, wherein the carding bar has a loadbearing body with a loadbearing-body plane, two connecting parts and two head end pieces, and the head end pieces have at least one sliding region, preferably two sliding regions which define a sliding guide face. The setting of the spacing and the position of the loadbearing-body plane with respect to the sliding guide face is formed in at least one axis via a releasable force-transmitting clamping connection of the loadbearing body to the connecting parts, to which the head end pieces are fastened. The invention likewise relates to an apparatus for presetting carding bars of a carding machine, wherein the spacing and the position of the loadbearing-body plane with respect to the sliding guide face of the end head pieces can be set in the apparatus.
