[origin: WO2007068565A1] The invention relates to a module (1) which comprises a plurality of Peltier elements arranged in series and which is operated with the rectified mains voltage. For this purpose, the number of Peltier elements (2) in the Peltier module (1) and the type of manufacture of the Peltier elements (2) is optimized in such a manner that the series arrangement has ratings such that when the series arrangement is impinged upon with the rectified mains voltage, the Peltier elements are operated at an operating point which is suitable, if not optimum, for the use of the Peltier module (1) in a Peltier heat pump for a tumbler.
