[origin: WO2007079361A2] Computer graphics methods, systems, devices, arrangements and software products graphics method for generating a geometrical model representing geometry of at least a portion of a surface of a three-dimensional (3D) object by shading by an operator in connection with a two-dimensional (2D) image of the object, the image representing the object as projected onto an image plane, comprise: A) receiving shading information provided by the operator in connection with the image of the object, the shading information representing a change in brightness level of at least a portion of the image; B) generating, in response to the shading information, an updated geometrical model of the object, the shading information being used to determine at least one geometrical feature of the updated geometrical model; C) displaying the image of the object as defined by the updated geometrical model; and D) wherein the method can operate upon a digital input of any hierarchical subdivision surface, polygon mesh or NURBS surface.
