[origin: EP1964664A1] The method involves measuring a ram stroke of an upper arm (3) and a lower arm (4). Nominal values together with tolerance ranges and action ranges for dimensions of a molding (7) are stored in a storage device (10). The dimensions of the molding to be tested in a test station (8) immediately after a pressing process are measured. The measured dimensions are associated based on a deviation from the nominal values. An automatic correction of the stroke is initiated based on a valence of the action ranges with which the dimensions in question are associated either immediately or with a delay.
