Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1965044A2] The engine has a cylinder casing (3) placed between a cylinder head (5) and an oil pan (2). A ventilating device includes an oil separator (6), and a chimney (7) transporting a blow-by gas from the casing to the separator. An oil return pipe (8) directly connects the separator to a bottom of the oil pan. The separator and the head do not communicate with respect to each other. A cover (9) closes a face in contact with the casing, where the face is opposite to a face of the head. The head is placed between the casing and the separator, where the separator is provided with a filtering media.
