Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007068539A1] The invention relates to a device for treating a web of fibrous material (1), in particular, for producing a web of tissue paper, comprising at least one crepe gap (15) which is defined by a crepe band (13) and also by a band support surface (4a) which is formed, in particular, by a counter roller (4), through which the web of fibrous material can be passed. A relative speed is provided between the crepe band and the band support surface. The aim of the invention is to obtain a good creping effect and at the same time reducing the wear of the crepe band. The surface of the band support surface and/or the material forming the band support surface are selected in view of the low wear of the crepe band, in particular a low friction coefficient, when operating the device.
