Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007068540A1] The invention relates to a device for treating a web of fibrous material (1), in particular, for producing a web of tissue paper, comprising at least one crepe gap which is defined by a crepe band (13) and also by a band support surface (4a) which is formed, in particular, by a counter roller (4), through which the web of fibrous material can be passed. A relative speed is provided between the crepe band and the band support surface. The aim of the invention is to obtain a good creping effect and at the same time reducing the wear of the crepe band. The material and/or the structure of the band support surface and the surface of the crepe band are adapted to each other in view of reducing the wear of the crepe band when operating the device.
