[origin: DE102005063159A1] The method involves controlling arrays, which are formed as rows (i) and columns (j), of a matrix display (D), and activating the rows for a specific row addressing time. The columns are loaded with an operating current or a voltage in correlation to the activated rows corresponding to the desired brightness in pixels of the arrays. The addressing time is specified for each row depending on the maximum brightness of all the columns of the rows.
