[origin: EP1970198A2] The panel has a color-consistent monitor for visualizing a soft proof provided by a soft proof system, where the soft proof serves as a color reference for print copies printed in a printing process. Keys (2, 3, 6, 7) and touch pads (4, 5) of the soft proof system are integrated into a control console (1) of the panel. The keys (2, 7) serve for invoking a section, visualized on the monitor, from the soft proof. The touch pad (5) and the key (6) serve for determining representation criteria of the section of the soft proof.
