[origin: WO2007080084A1] The invention relates to a two-component nozzle for atomising liquids with the aid of a compressed gas. Said nozzle comprises a mixing chamber, into which the liquid and the compressed gas are introduced, a section at the exit to the mixing chamber that is convergent in the direction of flow and a nozzle outlet that is divergent in the direction of flow and that extends from a narrowing to the nozzle mouth. According to the invention, the divergent nozzle outlet has a cross-section that gradually enlarges from the narrowing to the nozzle mouth, allowing supersonic velocity to be achieved between the divergent nozzle outlet and the nozzle mouth. The nozzle can be used e.g. for cleaning flue gas.
