[origin: WO2007080295A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle rear axle assembly (10) comprising: a wheel support (14) having a wheel axle; an oscillating arm (18) connected to the vehicle body; a connection (28) between the wheel support (14) and the arm (18), allowing a rotational movement of the support (14) about an axis of rotation separate from the wheel axle, the connection comprising at least two substantially planar elastic plates (30, 32) contained in two separate planes whose intersection coincides with the axis of rotation, each plate having a first edge (30a, 32a) rigidly connected to the arm and a second edge (30b, 32b) rigidly connected to the wheel support. According to the invention, a damper (42), applied between the arm (18) and the wheel support (14), is intended to reduce the kinetic energy of the wheel support (14) in its movement with respect to the arm (18).
