[origin: WO2007080166A1] Disclosed are plugs, socket-outlets, and couplers, preferably ones satisfying standard EN 60309, parts 1 and 2, especially couplings as well as built-on and surface-mounted socket-outlets as circular plug-and-socket devices which meet the tightness requirements without using a hinged lid while the plugging and pulling forces are significantly reduced. According to the invention, the sealing function is accomplished by means of a closure element (3) that rotates about the plugging axis while the plugging and disconnecting function of the plug-and-socket device is separated from the contacting function of the plug-in contacts as a result of the fact that the bushing contacts (6) are disposed radially offset relative to the standard position on a divided circle (10) while the contact pins (12) are radially fed to the bushing contacts (6) with the aid of a relative rotational movement between the plug (13) and the coupling (2) or socket-outlet after plugging in the plug (13).
