[origin: EP1972246A1] The device has a housing (1) comprising a wiper blade (4) on a side, and a wiper block (3) for simultaneous supplying to a surface (7) to be cleaned. A side skirt (5) is provided on the housing, and laterally closes a space between the surface and the housing, and the wiper blade and the wiper block. The housing covers the wiper blade up to its front edge (8), and forms a guide edge (6), which pushes the wiper blade over its entire length against the surface to be cleaned. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a level surface i.e. window.
