[origin: EP1972879A2] The heat exchanger has a block with a pipe (8) and especially ribs, a passage (7) for the pipe and a peripheral channel (4) for an elastomeric seal and/or a bottom with a preferably plastic cover joined to the bottom, especially by soldering or welding, whereby the bottom has at least one outer edge protruding beyond at least one end by a total dimension (X) consisting of several individual dimensions (x1-x4). The first individual dimension relating to the distance between the block or pipe and the channel is equal to or less than 0.5 mm.
