Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1973013A1] The balance has a hub (1) fixed on a balance staff, and two independent balance weights (3) each connected to the hub by an arm (2). An accumulated angle of arcs of circle formed by the balance weights is lower than 360 degree, so that a major part of a felloe is removed. The balance weights are evenly distributed around the hub, and frontal edges (2a, 2b) of each arm are aerodynamically sectioned for facilitating penetration of the edges in air during oscillations of the balance. The arms are made of light composite material.
