Abstract (en)
The connection has a single-piece, surface-mounted connection unit (1) formed as a quadratic, multi-sided symmetrical base body (10). Notches (15, 17) are provided between two edge areas (14, 16), and a contact support (30) for an electrical signal contact is provided in an inner side of the base body in a third edge area (18) between the notches, where the signal contact points the centre of the base body. The base body is provided with an electrically conducting coating, and the opening width of the notches corresponds to the wall thickness of the base body.

Für eine Steckverbindung zwischen zwei parallel angeordneten Leiterplatten wird ein Steckverbinder in koaxialer Ausführung vorgeschlagen, der gleichzeitig als hermaphroditischer Kontakt ausgebildet ist. Damit wird nur ein oberflächenmontierfähiges Verbindungselement benötigt, dass mit einem baugleichen zweiten, Verbindungselement steckbar ist. Die beiden zu steckenden, kragenförmigen Verbindungselemente (1) sind mittels dazu vorgesehener Kerben (15, 17) im Kragen (11) ineinander steckbar. Das in Kunststoffspritztechnik und MID-Technik zu fertigende Verbindungselement (1) weist vorzugsweise einen quadratischen, kragenförmigen Grundkörper (10) auf, mit einer elektrisch leitenden Beschichtung und einem separaten, innerhalb des Grundkörpers (10) in einer Kontakthalterung (30) isolierend angeordneten elektrischen Signalkontakt (40), so dass auch zur Übertragung hochfrequenter Signale eine wirksame Abschirmung vorhanden ist.
