[origin: EP1973377A1] The hearing aid has an operation controlling device (BEC), which accomplishes a separate delay of the release of a user controlled operating element (BE), which is attached to a hearing aid, in addition to a possible switching delay. A time period of the separate delay is adjustable, where the time period of the separate time delay is longer than a time period of the switching delay. The hearing aid provides a short audio signal, when the separate delay is lapsed. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a hearing aid.
