Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007025703A1] The invention relates to a footbed structure providing a foot supporting area which supports the sole of the foot and comprises a heel supporting section (1) that is assigned to the heel zone and is concavely curved towards the foot, a ball supporting section (2) allocated to the ball of the foot, and an instep propping section (3) which extends between the heel supporting section (1) and the ball supporting section (2) and runs below the navicular, the cuboid bone, and the cuneiforms. The instep propping section (3) has a convexly curved bulging cross-section towards the foot from the perspective of a central longitudinal axis thereof. The instep propping section (3) is provided with a locally convex cross-section that bulges towards the zone of the metatarsal base (3) of the user on a radial cross-sectional plane (Q) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X in the area located next to the heel supporting section (1) so as to form a pad (4) which locally supports the zone of the metatarsal base (3).
