[origin: WO2008086829A1] The invention relates to a transport packaging for oblong bodies. The transport packaging comprises at least two comb-like carriers (2, 3), which have groove-like receiving regions (4) for the oblong bodies, and at least one reinforcement rail (8) each made of a flexurally rigid material. In the transport state, the at least two comb-like carriers are connected to each other. The object is to find a possibility to produce the comb-like carriers in a simple and cost-effective manner. To this end, the groove-like receiving regions of the comb-like carriers are made of foamed plastic, and the reinforcement rails are enclosed in foam into the backs of the comb-like carriers.
