Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2895376A1] The apparatus consists of a disc (12) of an elastically deformable material with a density below that of the liquid being protected, able to slide on a guide rod (11) connected to a pourer in the form of a tubular body (1). The open upper end of the pourer sits in the neck of the container, e.g. a bottle (4), and is closed by a stopper (10). The disc rests on the surface of the liquid remaining in the bottle, protecting it from the outside atmosphere, while allowing it to be poured through an aperture in the side wall of the pourer when the stopper is removed and the bottle is tilted. The disc flexes easily to allow it to be inserted or removed through the bottle neck.
