Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007073274A1] The inventive idea is to make the rotating elements or rolls in a tissue papermaking machine with a reduced weight comparing to the conventional rolls made of steel. In this manner the rolls create less vibrations and allow sufficiently increase of the operation speed and productivity of the entire machine, or reduce the machine dimension for a given operation speed comparing to the conventional solutions. The invention is applicable to rebuilds of the existing machines and for new high-speed installations.
