[origin: DE202007004804U1] Insulating strip (5, 6) comprises insulating parts joined together by bars which move relative to each other. Neighboring bars and the insulating parts pivot in a parallelogram shape when they move. An independent claim is also included for a heat insulating composite profile (1) having two metal profiles (3, 4) and the above insulating strip. Preferred Features: The bars are connected to the insulating parts in the end regions via a hinge or hinge-like region.
