[origin: EP1975368A2] The foldable stepladder comprises two side beams (1,2) in form of U-profile and steps (3) with the U-profile. The foldable stepladder has a shank (2.1) of the side beam, in which the steps are retractable in a folded condition of the ladder with equal step heights. Another shank (1.1) of the opposite side beam has smaller height than the former shank.
