[origin: EP1975971A1] The device (2) has a release bar (16) controlled by a magneto-thermic release to break a mechanical connection between a rotary plate (15) of a mobile contact supporting device (3) and a transmission link (10) in case of defect for separating mobile and fixed contacts (4, 5). The link rests on the plate and a locking hook (19) in locking position. Relative positions of respective support surfaces of the plate and the hook, and connection of lever arms permitting reduction of effort of the link on the bar are chosen such that force applied to the hook is less than force applied to the plate. The hook is made of decorative sheet iron or plastic.
