Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007085744A2] The invention concerns a device for preventive treatment of an optical surface (4) designed to be exposed to a laser flow, said device comprising a thermal excitation source (1) for providing a localized thermal annealing of a site of said surface to be treated (4) by means of a beam applied to said cite. The invention is characterized in that it further comprises a measuring member (5) for measuring, in real time said during said localized thermal annealing, a quantity representing the temperature of the site of the optical surface to be treated (4) and at least one control member (2, 3, 6) for increasing the linear power density of the beam applied to the site by the excitation source (1) and, when said quantity reaches a predetermined set point (NC), for decreasing gradually said linear power density.
