[origin: WO2007085600A1] A mains-independent power supply for a tubular element (2), especially a lighted clothes rail, comprises a holder (20) on or in which the tubular element (2) is supported. A receptacle (12) for electric accumulators (8) is configured on the holder (20) next to the tubular element (2) and is connected to an electric consumer in the tubular element (2) via electric conductors (7). The invention allows the holder (20) to receive and fix the tubular element (2) and also to constitute a receptacle for the energy accumulators (8).
