Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1978243A2] The case (15) has diagnosis and control circuits that provide necessary power to control a glow plug (6) of an engine e.g. diesel engine, and a heater plug (2) of a fuel e.g. diesel fuel, insertion system (12). The circuits determine operating state of the plugs and deliver a signal in direction of a controller (14) in case of malfunctioning of the plugs. The plug (6) is only activated at the starting of the engine during normal functioning so that the plug (2) is only activated during regeneration phase of a particle filter.
