[origin: WO2007087778A1] The invention relates to a method of optimally dimensioning the heat transfer tubes in waste heat boilers of power plants. The aim is to maintain the calculated and planned thermic values as accurately as possible. This is achieved by first of all theortetical calculations being carried out, to be precise in particular for the heat transfer values and pressure losses, by the heat transfer tubes being fabricated according to these calculations with regard to dimensions and rib geometry at the start of production, by the calculated thermic values being checked at certain intervals in a comparison test bay during the production of the heat transfer tubes and by corrections being made to individual parameters if deviations are established.
