Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102006005189A1] The method involves filling coking chamber with a layer of coal. The coal is heated and volatile coal components are emitted from the coal. The volatile coal components are partially oxidized using supplied air. The unburned and volatile coal components are burned in the bottom of coke oven. The temperature is measured and cooling water vapor is introduced in the coke oven. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing coke with high volatile content in a coking chamber of a non recovery type or heat recovery type coke oven.
