[origin: WO2007033763A1] A device for reprofiling a rail (5) of a track in the points region, in particular of a frog (2), comprises a grinding machine (11) having a grinding frame (12), this grinding machine being able to be supported via copying rollers (13-15) which are spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the track. This grinding machine has a grinding member (18) which is arranged between two copying rollers (13, 14) and which can be positioned perpendicularly to the rail (5). A copying base (26) formed by the spaced-apart copying rollers (13, 14) is designed to be variable, there being provided a copying rail (20) which can be fixed detachably to the rail (5) and which has a guide surface (23) for supporting a copying roller (15) which is spaced apart from the grinding frame (12), thereby extending the copying base (26). The guide surface (23) is curved to correspond to an intended geometry of the frog (2).
