Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1980671A2] The soil tamping device in the form of a vibrating plate, with vibrations of a soil contacting element (2) produced by vibration exciter (4) driven by a hydraulic motor, has a solenoid-operated 2/2 hydraulic directional control valve which brings about an interruption of the supply of the hydraulic motor with hydraulic fluid. The directional control valve directs hydraulic fluid from a feed line via a bypass line unpressurized into a reservoir. The directional control valve is preloaded in an open position by means of spring force.
