The suction snorkel (1) of an air suction tract comprises an opening (8) and a closure element (5) assigned to the opening. The closure element is moved between a closing position, which locks the opening and an opening position, which releases the opening. A selected force is provided, where the closure element is so arranged that it is streamed with an excess pressure from an air flow entering into the suction snorkel.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ansaugschnorchel (1) eines Luftansaugtrakts zum Ansaugen von Verbrennungsluft für eine Brennkraftmaschine eines Kraftfahrzeugs, mit einer Öffnung (8) und einem der Öffnung zugeordneten Verschlusselement (5), das zwischen einer die Öffnung (8) verschließenden Schließposition und einer die Öffnung (8) freigegebenden Öffnungsposition bewegbar ist und mit einer wählbaren Kraft in Schließposition gehalten wird, wobei das Verschlusselement (5) so angeordnet ist, dass es von einem in den Ansaugschnorchel (1) eintretenden ersten Luftstrom mit Überdruck anströmbar und durch einen von dem ersten Luftstrom ausgeübten Staudruck in seine Öffnungsposition bringbar ist.
