[origin: EP1813291A1] Composition comprising a water-absorbing polymer (I) and 0.0001-0.1 wt.% of a urease inhibitor (II) is new, provided that (I) has acid groups that are 50-65% neutralized. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing a composition as above by mixing or grinding (I) and (II) together or spraying (I) with (II) or preparing (I) by polymerising a monomer solution containing (II), and optionally mixing the product with a water-absorbing polymer; (2) hygiene article comprising a composition as above.
