[origin: WO2007090541A1] Method for pretreating paint application devices made of aluminium, titanium or alloys thereof to make it easier to remove paint deposited on the paint application devices, wherein the paint application devices are anodically oxidized in an aqueous electrolyte, or a coating made of oxides and/or nitrides of aluminium and/or titanium is deposited on them by gas phase deposition. In particular, this is carried out under conditions such that the surface of the paint application devices appears blue to the human eye. This pretreatment makes it easier to remove paint deposits. The invention furthermore relates to correspondingly treated paint application devices and the cleaning thereof.
