Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1983616A2] The connector (10) has an upper housing (4) and a lower housing (5) for attaching to a ribbon cable (1). The upper housing and the lower housing are compressed into each other using a mounting tool such that contact of conductors (11, 12, 16) of the cable with a set of cutting clamps in the lower housing is made, and simultaneously a selective cutting of one of the conductors of the cable is performed. The upper housing has a cover part (41), which is locked with a base part (42) by a set of arresting units for fixing the cable. An independent claim is also included for a method for attaching a bus connector at a ribbon cable.
