[origin: EP1983621A1] The device has cable trimming stations for trimming a cable and comprising a machine stand, which supports pivot arms (4, 5). Each of the pivot arms is attached to a cable lead, which allows each pivot arm to feed the cable successively to the trimming stations. The trimming stations are laterally attached to the machine stand. Two machine groups (4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2) are provided in an operational region of each of the pivot arm, and the cable is alternatively fed from each of the arm to only the trimming stations of the machine groups.
