[origin: WO2007093167A1] An apparatus (24) is described for producing a temporary yarn (34) at the exit of a drawing frame which serves to refine fibrous material. The apparatus (24) comprises a twist element (27) which serves to impart a large number of twists to the fibrous material. The twist element (27) is adjoined by a spinning and transport tube (36), in order to transport the temporary yarn to a remote location. According to the invention, the spinning and transport tube (36) comprises a shorter spinning section (36a) which is connected to the twist element (27) and a transport section (36b) which follows the former. The transport section (36b) has a substantially larger internal cross section than the spinning section (36a), in order that the temporary yarn (34) can be transported to the remote location substantially without friction.
