[origin: WO2007093073A1] In order to dry a textile in a receptacle which is provided for this purpose, first of all the interior (4) of the receptacle (1) with the material (11) introduced into it is evacuated and heated. As a result of pressure reduction and heating, the moisture is evaporated out of the material, whereupon the moisture is extracted from the inner space (4). As a result of the extracted moisture being dispensed to the surroundings or as a result of compression of the extracted moisture to ambient pressure, said moisture is heated and at least part of the heated moisture is fed to the outer side of the drum (1) for further heating of the latter.
