Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007093637A1] The invention relates to a segment expeller (10) having a housing (12), in which a cylindrical hollow body (20) is situated. A rotational axle (28) is mounted rotatably in the housing (12). Expeller elements (30, 32, 34, 36) are provided radially on the rotational axle (28). The hollow body (20) axially encloses the rotational axle (28) with the expeller elements (30, 32, 34, 36) which therefore divide the space between the cylinder wall and the rotational axle (28) into space segments (50, 52, 54, 56) and seal it. The hollow body (20) is arranged in a slide (14) which is movable with respect to the housing (12). The volume of the space segments (50, 52, 54, 56) varies depending on the position of the slide (14). Guiding and/or holding means (44) which are provided on the rotational axle (44) guide the expeller elements (30, 32, 34, 36) movably. The guiding and/or holding elements (44) form, together with the expeller elements (30, 32, 34, 36), variable hollow spaces (55) which are coupled to the space segments (50, 52, 54, 56) via interchange connections (57).
