[origin: WO2007090700A1] The invention relates to a filter element for an extractor hood, comprising at least one covering layer (8, 9) and at least one intermediate layer (10). Said filter element (1) is characterised in that a coating (11) is applied to at least one of the covering layers (8, 9) on at least one part of at least one surface, and the at least one intermediate layer (10) is free of said coating (11). The optical appearance of the inventive filter element remains unaltered even after repeated cleaning.
