Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1985413A1] This invention presents a tire surface polishing device capable of a polishing with eye observations of a polishing position and polishing amount, and capable of an adequate polishing even for a tire having a complicated surface configuration. As shown in Fig.2 , the device comprises a tire rotation means 10 rotating a polishing belt means 20 polishing a grounding surface of the tire, a belt driving means 30, a belt touch-and-detaching means 40 touching the polishing belt to the tire and detaching the polishing belt from the tire. The polishing belt means 20 turns at a corner of the tire, thereby enabling a polishing of the corner. The polishing belt means 20 has an endless polishing belt. The belt driving means 30 is joined to a base 44 plunging the polishing belt toward the tire surface, in a state rotatable to a horizontal direction. Links 41,42 driving the base 44 is operated by a handle 51. The handle 51 and the polishing belt means 20 are moved to a same direction.
