[origin: EP1985448A2] The foil guide transfers picture layers from a transfer foil to glue-coated paper in a printing press (1). It has guide devices to guide the transfer foil (5, 5') from the foil storage roll (8) to the transfer gap (6) of the transfer foil web to prevent transverse movements. The guide devices and/or the web tension regulator for the transfer foil web can be adjusted.
