[origin: EP1985929A2] The fireplace (1) has a combustion air supply for supplying the heating gas from a furnace chamber (2) to a chimney through a chimney connector (6). A fire-resistive particle filter (8) is arranged between the furnace chamber and the chimney connector, where all heating gas from the furnace chamber passes through the particle filter. The furnace chamber is closed upwardly, where the particle filter forms a single heating gas permeable connection between the furnace chamber and the chimney connector.
