[origin: WO2007096698A1] The present invention relates to a modular type apparatus (1) adapted to store in particular foodstuffs. The apparatus (1) comprises one or more container elements, each of which is adapted to keep foodstuffs in a certain preservation state and comprises at least one refrigeratable internal compartment and means for accessing said internal compartment. The apparatus (1) also comprises a functional unit (10), adapted to generate refrigerating power, and means of distribution (20), adapted to both distribute the refrigerating power generated by the functional unit (10) and, preferably, act as a supporting structure for the container elements. According to the present invention, the container elements comprise connection means providing a connection to the means of distribution (20), said connection means being adapted to allow refrigerating power to be supplied into the container elements and being capable of ensuring the removal of the connection between the container elements and the means of distribution (20), thus allowing the container elements to be removed by a user, in particular from the respective installation places.
