[origin: US8490294B2] A cleaning device for a component disposed within a process air circuit of a domestic tumble dryer, in particular for a heat exchanger, including a cleaning brush and a drive mechanism including a drive rod for moving the cleaning brush along the component, the cleaning device including a guiding element operatively associated with the drive mechanism for guiding the drive rod, and at least two flexible sealing elements for protecting the drive mechanism against fluff or similar soiling, wherein the drive rod is passed between the at least two sealing elements for movement along the guiding element.
