[origin: DE102006008175A1] The damper is a pressure storage unit, comprising a casing (1) with liquid inlet and outlet (15, 17), which contains a gas-filled bellows unit (21). In a new arrangement, inlet and outlet are at axially-opposite ends of the casing. Liquid flows longitudinally through the casing, past the bellows. It flows in the direction of movement of an internal piston section (31) associated with the bellows. The corrugated cylindrical metal bellows separates flowing liquid from the gas (23) it contains. It may alternatively be constructed as a series of membrane pairs.
