Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1988042A1] The method involves holding a material web (1) at a front section (7) in a running direction. Individual sections are aligned based on the front section of the material web in the running direction. Other sections are brought into a zig-zag form by two sets of knives, and the aligned sections are successively pushed together. The material web is directly guided before incremental folding of the material web by a web storage. An independent claim is also included for a device for folding a material web.
